    Program

At 06:45 you will leave the Suforyou office by bus to Fredberg. It is about a 3 to 4 hour drive to the base camp. You will make a few stops along the way, so you can use the toilet or buy some snacks. The last 90 minutes of the journey you will drive on an unpaved, bumpy road.

    Arrival at base camp
In the afternoon you will arrive at the beautiful base camp, which is located in the middle of the jungle. Here you will be treated to a delicious lunch. If you are with a large group, you will hear during lunch whether you will first go up the mountain or whether you will stay at the base camp. If you go up the mountain immediately, it is time to put on your jungle clothes. You can put all the necessary items for the mountain in your backpack and you can leave the rest of the items at the base camp.

Hike to the top of the Fredberg
The adventure is about to begin! First, you will travel by bus in about half an hour to the foot of the mountain. The guide will briefly explain what the walk will look like and how long it will take. When everyone is ready, you will start the walk. During the walk, you will determine the pace together with the group. You will take a break every now and then, but if you need more breaks, that is no problem either. After about 3 to 4 hours, you will reach the top of the mountain, depending on the condition of the group.

    On the Fredberg
When you reach the top, you will first arrive at the camp where you will spend the night. Here you can put down your things and then immediately walk to the viewpoint. You will be amazed, because everywhere you look, you see the jungle. It is time to explore the mountain and recover from the walk. You can also hang up your hammock. When the sun sets, you can enjoy the beautiful view. When evening falls, the cooks will have a delicious meal ready for you. After dinner, you can enjoy the beautiful starry sky and the sound of the howler monkeys. You will spend the night in a hammock.

    Sleeping in a cave
You will spend the third night in a cave located on the back of the Fredberg. Today you will explore the jungle even further and sleep completely back to basic in caves in the jungle behind the Fredberg. The guide will take you via the other side of the mountain towards the rare orange rock cocks and you may spot different monkey species along the way. You will receive information about various plant species and learn how to survive in the jungle. You will sleep in a self-made camp in your hammock in a cave.

    Sunrise on the Fredberg
It is definitely worth getting out of your hammock in time for the sunrise. You can wake up wonderfully peacefully while enjoying the beautiful view. The guide will also try to spot some birds or monkeys from the mountain. After this, you will be treated to a delicious extensive breakfast, so that you will have enough energy to walk down. Around 10:00 you will leave again. During this walk, the guide will tell you all kinds of fun facts about the flora and fauna.

    Back at base camp
Around lunchtime you will be back at base camp. During lunch you can recover from the walk. After this it is time to chill out at base camp. You can take a dip in the cooling water or relax in the hammock. Around 17:30 you will have the opportunity to take a walk through the jungle with the guide. As soon as it gets dark, the nocturnal animals come to life and the jungle will look completely different. Once back from the walk, dinner will be waiting for you. You can enjoy the rest of the evening by the campfire and tonight you will sleep in a bed again.

    Last day at base camp
At 07:00 you can choose to join the guide in search of monkeys and birds during a lovely morning walk. When you return from the walk, a delicious breakfast will be ready for you, made by the chefs. The rest of the day is open to your own interpretation. For example, you can enjoy the water for a while. After lunch it is time to leave this beautiful place again. You will return to the city after approximately 19:00, depending on the traffic.
