Paying from abroad
Foreign payments with IBAN or BIC
- Paying with IBAN within the SEPA area
- Paying with BIC outside the SEPA area
Paying with IBAN within the SEPA area
Thanks to SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area), Europe has been one common payment market since 2014. As a result, you will no longer notice any difference between domestic and foreign payments within Europe. If you make a payment within a SEPA country, you only need an IBAN as an account number.
SEPA countries
The SEPA countries are all countries within the EU, plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Monaco, Andorra, Vatican City, the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) and San Marino.
Find IBAN
If you transfer money abroad, you will need your IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
Your own IBAN is on your debit card and on your bank statement. The number consists of 18 letters and numbers and starts with the country code (in the Netherlands that is NL). The IBAN of the other party is on the invoice or you can ask for it.
BIC (SWIFT address) of ours
Our Bank Identifier Code (BIC) is: RABONL2U. Do you need a BIC with 11 characters? Then enter RABONL2UXXX. The BIC of a foreign bank can be requested from the bank in question.
