Discover authentic Galibi, the only indigenous village in Northern Suriname, and don't miss the chance to witness the majestic sea turtles during the turtle laying season (Feb-Jul). During this trip you will meet the indigenous Indians in Christiaankondre and explore not only the northeastern districts of Suriname, but also the neighboring country French Guiana. An exciting boat trip along the border river and a comfortable stay at the Myrysji Lodge complete this tour.
The stay is Basic. You have a fan and power supply 110V Between 18:30 - 06:00 (only for lighting) and a mosquito net over the bed. Relax and unwind in nature during this trip.

Program
Day 1
- 08.15-08.30 am: Departure by bus along the East-West connection towards Albina.
- Along the way, our guide will share interesting information about the history and sights.
- No breakfast on day 1.
- In Albina we continue the journey by boat to Christiaankondre. The boat trip takes about 2 hours.
- Late lunch.
- Exploration of the village during a walk and introduction to the local indigenous population and their culture.
- Dinner
- During the turtle laying season (February – July) observation of sea turtles laying their eggs on the beach at night.
Day 2
- Breakfast in Galibi.
- Free time for a refreshing swim and a visit to the Tiger Sandbank.
- In the evening an impressive cultural show (with a minimum of 8 guests at the resort).
Day 3
- Beach walk and refreshing dip in the river accompanied by our guide.
- Return by boat to Albina, with a stopover in St. Laurent.
- Optional: guided tour of the local prison (bagno).
- Lunch in Albina followed by the return trip to Paramaribo.

Mosquito Repellent : To protect you from insect bites during the tour.
Backpack : For use during the walk to store personal belongings.

Flashlight/Headlamp : A flashlight or headlamp is useful for lighting during evening activities or in dark areas.
Small change SRD and Euro : Small change is useful for local purchases, drinks and souvenirs. Bring cash Euros for French Guyana for entrance to Bagno and other purchases.
Waterproof bag for electronics and securities : In case you want to keep these items safe.
Passport : Required due to checkpoints along the way.
Snacks or energy bars : Handy for on the go or when there is no immediate access to food.
Insect net : For extra protection against mosquitoes, especially when sleeping outside.
Sunglasses : To protect your eyes from the sun.
Binoculars : Useful if you plan to do some bird watching or observe other wildlife.
Small power bank : For charging your electronics, especially when there are no power outlets nearby.
Storm/bad weather:
The tour company has the right to cancel the trip/tour at any time before departure in case of unforeseeable weather conditions. The activity/tour will be scheduled for another date.
In case of cancellation between the 14th and 7th day before departure, a 50% refund will be honored.
In case of cancellation 6 days or less before departure, unfortunately no refund will be honored.
