6-day tours compared
Two very different ways to spend six days inland
Blue Bird offers two six-day trips. Both head deep into the interior and on both you sleep in a hammock, but beyond that they have little in common. The Gran Rio Sintiadam Expedition is a continuous expedition: every day you move further upstream. The Back-to-Basic tour at Jungle Resort Pingpe uses the resort as a fixed base, with three days of jungle camp from there. That difference in setup also explains the difference in price.

Which one suits you?
Choose Gran Rio if you want to see the deepest interior and are willing to really let go of comfort. Six nights in a row in a hammock, a new place every day, and survival skills as part of the trip. Count on solid preparation and on a group of at least four.
Choose Pingpe if you want the jungle experience without every night being a camp. You have a fixed point to fall back on, three days genuinely into the jungle, and you pay almost half. The local guide comes from the area itself.
