One extra day makes the difference
At four days the rush disappears. You get a full middle day without travelling, which leaves room for a longer forest walk or a village visit. Danpaati, Anaula and Pingpe offer their four-day tour along the Upper Suriname; Pingpe also has a Back-to-Basic version with a night in a jungle camp. Raleigh Falls is the odd one out: further away, rougher and with hammocks.

Which one suits you?
At four days Danpaati adds the Maroon Museum in Pikin Slee. Anaula and Pingpe are the quieter and more affordable options. Choose Pingpe Back-to-Basic if you want to sleep a night in the forest rather than in the lodge. Raleigh Falls Voltzberg is the toughest: seven to nine hours of travel, hammocks, and the climb up the Voltzberg as the reward.
