What does a fourth day add?
On a three-day trip you get one full day on location; on a four-day trip, two. That is the difference between an introduction and a stay: room for a forest walk, a village visit, the rapids and an evening by the fire.
How demanding is the Raleigh Falls Voltzberg tour?
This is the most demanding four-day trip. The journey there takes 7 to 9 hours, departing at 7.45 am, and climbing the Voltzberg requires a reasonable level of fitness. You are back around 7 pm on the last day. Four days, three nights.
What is Pingpe’s Back-to-Basic version?
You spend two days deep in untouched jungle, away from the resort. You sleep in a hammock with a mosquito net beside a creek, and there is fishing for Anjoemara among others. Simpler than the regular tour, and € 20 more expensive because of the extra guiding.
Which departure days are available?
For the four-day trip Anaula normally departs on Friday and Sunday. Danpaati departs Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Pingpe picks you up between 8.00 and 8.30 am in central Paramaribo.
What is included?
With all four-day lodge arrangements: return transport by bus and boat, accommodation, all meals and the excursions in the programme. For Raleigh Falls this covers bus and boat transport, guide, accommodation and meals.
