This beautiful expedition to the Raleigh Falls is full of adventure and nature where the climb to the top of the Voltzberg is central. The Raleigh Falls is part of the Central Suriname Nature Reserve and is known for its special flora and fauna. In addition, it is a paradise for animal lovers and bird watchers.
Accommodation
The accommodation at Raleighvallen is a bit more back to basic. Below is an overview of the different accommodations that Fungu Island at Raleighvallen has to offer.
Hammocks
We sleep in hammocks as standard on this tour.
Sleeping in hammocks is easy, especially if your hammock is hung properly.
The view from the hammock accommodation is fantastic!
The building you sleep in is built entirely of wood by Conservation International.
Bunk Bed Camp Tamanua (20 sleeping places)
You can also choose to sleep in the Tamanua bunk bed camp, to sleep in a regular bed (albeit a bunk bed).
You are close to the toilets and showers and are also provided with a mosquito net.
For an additional charge of 50 euros on the standard 4-day tour price.

Back in Paramaribo on the last day: 7:00 PM
Please note: The following applies to road transfers during the rainy season: The poor condition of the unpaved road results in a longer travel time, which can make the journey feel tiring. Guests with back problems and/or physical limitations should take this into account.

Storm/bad weather:
The tour company has the right to cancel the trip/tour at any time before departure in case of unforeseeable weather conditions. The activity/tour will be scheduled for another date.
In case of cancellation between the 14th and 7th day before departure, a 50% refund will be honored.
In case of cancellation 6 days or less before departure, unfortunately no refund will be honored.
