Description
Frederiksdorp is a former 18th century coffee and cocoa plantation. Frederiksdorp's history is reminiscent of both European and African traditions. It has a character all its own with surrounding plantations, fishing villages, sea beaches, mangrove forests, bird swamps, dolphins and long cycling and walking trails.
This former plantation with original plantation houses and a police station, is the historical building of Frederiksdorp and is listed as a monument of Commewijne, and converted into an atmospheric holiday resort.
