Washington Slagbaai Safari Tour

Join an adventurous safari through the Washington Slagbaai National Park and discover one of Bonaire’s most impressive nature reserves. During this tour you will drive on the sandy roads of the park and visit the most beautiful and varied places, accompanied by a guide who will tell you everything about the nature, geology and history of the island.

We start along the rugged east coast, where the powerful waves crash spectacularly against the rocks. Along the way we make several stops at special sights, including a natural blowhole and secluded bays and beaches. There is also plenty of chance to spot wildlife in this protected nature reserve.

The route continues to the lighthouse of Seru Bentana, one of the northernmost points of Bonaire. Then we drive on to Wayaka, where there is time for a swimming and snorkeling stop at one of the most beautiful places in the park. The tour ends at Boka Slagbaai, a beautiful bay where you can relax and enjoy the view.

This tour is ideal for those who want to combine nature, adventure, and relaxation. The park offers something for everyone and is a perfect place to experience Bonaire in an active and versatile way.

Route & experience

After gathering at the entrance of the park, we first visit several locations along the wild east coast. We will then drive towards the lighthouse of Seru Bentana and then to Wayaka for the snorkeling and swimming stop. The last stop is Boka Slagbaai, where we end the day before returning to the exit of the park.

In changing weather conditions, parts of the park may be closed. In that case, an alternative, similar route is followed so that the experience remains optimal.
