Beautiful and pristine are understatements when describing Bonaire Washington Slagbaai National Park. Discover its treasures on this special guided tour of hidden coves, secluded beaches, salt lakes, and magical watering holes. Originally inhabited by the Caiquetio Indians, Bonaire Washington Park is the first nature reserve of the former Netherlands Antilles. Founded in 1969 and located in the northwestern part of the island, it covers about one-fifth of Bonaire. It had Slagbaai, the most extensive and productive plantations during the colonial period. Today, Bonaire Washington Slagbaai National Park and its pristine beaches are an important nesting ground for the sea turtles that frequent the waters of our island, Bonaire. With a flexible program, you will have plenty of opportunity to admire and photograph the flora and fauna in their natural habitat.
