Two Countries, One Bike Tour (Saint Martin)

Some people say the best way to really get to know a new area is in the saddle of a bicycle; and this 30-plus-mile tour aims to do just that while taking an eco-friendly journey through Saint Martin/Saint Martin.
Before you begin your tour, your guide will give a brief introduction about cycling in St. Maarten and how to use your bike. You will then follow your guide along Philipsburg’s Boardwalk that runs along the white sandy beach of Great Bay. You’ll also pass Divi Little Bay and continue across Cay Hill for great views of Simpson Bay Lagoon.
After you descend into Cole Bay, you’ll cross the Causeway, which stretches across the Lagoon, and make a stop at the Border Monument. Here the Dutch side borders the French side, and your guide will explain all about the Concordia Treaty signed in the 1600s, which to this day serves as a friendly agreement between French and Dutch St. Maarten. Drive on to Marigot, the French capital, where you will take a short walk to historic Fort Louis for a spectacular panoramic view. Then pass through the bustling waterfront marketplace, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink. Upon your return, you can choose to end your trip in Simpson Bay or drive back over the hill to Philipsburg.

What to wear/bring with you: Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, apply sunscreen, wear sunglasses.

Any limitations: Participants must be able to ride a bicycle past traffic and must not have any physical injuries or conditions that are aggravated by cycling, or that could interfere with safe cycling.
