This is a guided snorkeling trip that will take you to one of the locations that is known locally for the most turtles and lots of fish. After this, it’s a 15-minute drive to see the wild flamingos, Bonaire’s national animal. The guide is a PADI diving instructor with over 20 years of experience and knows a lot of fun facts about the local marine life. The trip usually involves quite a bit of swimming. If you don’t want to swim much or aren’t comfortable in the water, make sure to let your guide know in advance so we can adjust the snorkeling itinerary by going in at a different spot! There is a very high chance of seeing turtles up close, but as we do not want a disturbance of nature in any way (e.g. feeding to attract turtles), there is always a possibility that there is no turtle to be found. That doesn’t mean that the trip isn’t interesting, as the beautiful corals and fish are still very beautiful to see and your guide can tell you a lot of interesting facts about them for those who are interested.
