Seaworld Explorer – Semi-Submarine Tour (Aruba)
The Seaworld Explorer is a modern semi-submarine underwater observatory. The vessel doesn’t submerge, but the large, clear glass windows on the lower deck allow you to observe marine life on all sides, 5 feet (1.5 m) below the water.
Keep your eyes peeled as your captain strolls around a 440-foot (134 m) long German freighter that sank during World War II. The massive ship, the Antilla, is one of the largest wrecks in the Caribbean and is home to a wide variety of colorful fish that come within inches of the semi-submarine.
Next, head to the Arashi Reef, where you’ll have the chance to explore unique corals and other species of marine life. As you sail back to shore, keep an eye out for the creatures you just learned about on your journey.
*Please note that cruise passengers must book tours and excursions directly with the cruise line.
