Description
Once a thriving coffee plantation, Reynsdorp (Bakkie) is located along Matapica Creek in the eponymous Commewijne district in northern Suriname. The descendants of the plantation owners have excavated Warappa Creek and transformed the old plantation into a small and cozy resort.
During the excavation of the creek, old bottles and other artifacts were found. These were of such historical value that especially for this collection, a separate Museum was set up. This Museum was named: Museum Bakkie. During the day tour to Bakkie, you will relive the past of one of the most authentic plantations in a unique way.

Camera & well-charged batteries: A camera is essential to capture the beautiful surroundings. Make sure the batteries are fully charged so you don’t miss any memorable moments.
Raincoat/poncho: For unexpected showers.
Mosquito Milk: To protect you from insect bites during the tour.

Backpack: For when hiking to store personal items.
Change SRD: Small money is useful for local purchases, drinks and souvenirs.

Storm/bad weather:
The tour company reserves the right at any time before the time of departure, to cancel the trip/ tour in case of unforeseeable weather conditions. The activity/ tour will be rescheduled on another date.
If cancelled between the 14th and the 7th day before departure, a 50% refund will be honored.
If cancelled 6 days or less before departure, unfortunately no refund will be honored.
