Klein Curaçao: Complete Day Trip by Boat (Curaçao)

Klein Curaçao is located 15 miles from the southeastern tip of Curaçao and is only a two-hour boat ride from Spanish Water. The Mermaid, a sturdy ocean-going vessel, waits for passengers at the Visserspier at 6:45 a.m. every day except Saturdays.
When you climb aboard the Mermaid, you’ll be welcomed with a hot cup of tea or coffee. Captain Kees and his crew create a great atmosphere that makes you feel welcome on board!
In the distance, you can see the distinctive lighthouse of Klein Curaçao and a shipwreck that landed on the beach years ago. As the boat approaches the shore, you’ll see a few huts used by the local island fishermen. But most of all, you will see endless beaches of white sand, waiting to be explored by you.
Once the Mermaid is anchored off the coast, you’ll want to swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters. Take a walk and visit the historic lighthouse or collect shells on the beach. Lie on a sun lounger and catch some rays or play beach volleyball on our private court!
Our guests get exclusive access to our beach house. With a large thatched patio, toilets, picnic tables and cool drinks, it is a great shaded hideaway from the heat of the sun. We offer all the facilities you need for a fun day on a desert island.
Breakfast and a delicious BBQ lunch are both included. Chicken, spare ribs, burgers, corn, various salads and fresh fruit are perfectly prepared. Beer, wine, juices and soft drinks are available (alcoholic beverages for a small fee).
For snorkelers and divers, Klein Curaçao has a lot to offer. Klein Curaçao has beautiful coral formations, a vertical abyss and a few underwater caves. For snorkelers, the Mermaid offers free masks so you can experience our beautiful underwater world for yourself.
