Description
The location “Mouth of Suriname River” refers to the point where the Suriname River empties into the Atlantic Ocean. This estuary is located near Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname.
Several species of fish are found in the mouth of the Suriname River, including:
- Tarpon: a large sport fish species popular with anglers because of its powerful fights.
- Snook: a predatory fish often found in brackish water and mangroves.
- Catfish: catfish are generally present in estuaries and can be an interesting fishing option.
- Trevally: a saltwater fish often found near coastal waters and known for its powerful swimming ability.
- Various sea bass and snappers: these fish are common in tropical coastal waters.

Hat or cap: So that you can protect your face from the tropical sun.
Good shoes: For protection of your feet.
Camera & well-charged batteries: A camera is indispensable for capturing the beautiful surroundings. Make sure the batteries are fully charged so you don’t miss any memorable moments.
Raincoat/poncho: For unexpected showers.
Mosquito Milk: To protect you from insect bites during the tour.
Sunscreen: For protection from the sun.
Small change SRD: Small change is useful for local purchases, drinks, and souvenirs.
Waterproof bag serving electronics and valuables: In case you want to keep these items safe.
Storm/bad weather:
The tour company reserves the right at any time before the time of departure, to cancel the trip/ tour in case of unforeseeable weather conditions. The activity/ tour will be rescheduled on another date.
If cancelled between the 14th and the 7th day before departure, a 50% refund will be honored.
If cancelled 6 days or less before departure, unfortunately no refund will be honored.
