The Gran Rio Sintiadam expedition is an intensive six-day back-to-basic experience deep in the Surinamese jungle, specially designed for travelers who want to experience nature in a pure and authentic way. During this expedition, you will travel further and further inland by bus and boat, where comfort gives way to simplicity and connection with the environment. You will learn essential survival skills, sleep in hammocks surrounded by nature, and prepare meals in the traditional way over a wood fire. The tour takes you past impressive rapids, remote islands and untouched forests, alternating between hiking, boating and observation. An important part of the expedition is the introduction to the Maroon culture, during which you will visit villages and gain insight into the daily life of the local population. This trip is all about adventure, tranquility, nature experience and cultural deepening, far away from the modern world.
