It is home to a variety of ecosystems, such as the famous coral reefs, mangroves, and seaweed beds, and includes the areas of Lac and Klein Bonaire. It is a multipurpose Marine Protected Area, as everyone is welcome to enter the waters and a wide range of activities are offered, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, sightseeing, fishing, water sports, and more.
